Are you ready to join the ranks of the 350+ Certified Financial Counselors currently serving Louisiana's Credit Union Members? Your Louisiana peers found the course to be rewarding on so many levels.
  • "Every financial institution with the last name of CREDIT UNION should be committed to providing financial management skills and needed assistance to members experiencing hardship. That is our mission, the very reason we were founded. Our true purpose is to give people a voice, to listen, to make them feel seen, to make them feel cared for - to attack the hopelessness of financial insecurity. Each day our goal is to change someone’s life for the better. The CCUFC program gives our employees the tools needed to offer education, to offer a way out, to be the light at the end of the tunnel. This program changes lives - not only the members, but the employees - as they utilize learned skills in their own family and equally important as they experience the joy of helping others."

  • "Our whole staff recently got certified and even though we haven't formally put a counseling program into place yet, the staff has been overjoyed with the opportunity to grow their knowledge base through the FiCEP program. It definitely impacted them professionally and personally, so the impacts are far and wide and tie in with SWLACU's mission of Financial Empowerment for All."

Chad Miller of Southwest Louisiana FCU Certified since 2018
  • "It is so much more than just completing a course. This program will help you learn how important it is to budget, and to prepare for insurance needs, get out of debt, and recognize the signs of someone who is in need of financial help. This is what the philosophy of People Helping People is all about."

Tiffany Murray of Total Choice FCUCertified since 2014
  • "It is very important for us to find ways to say YES to our members. Being a Certified Financial Counselor provides another opportunity to say YES."
