We are thrilled to bring Pierre Cardenas back to Louisiana for a thought provoking lending program taking place virtually on May 12 & 13 from 9:00 am until noon each day. This is NOT a procedural workshop to cover the how-to of lending. In this engaging and interactive workshop, Pierre will help leaders in lending to think strategically and realistically about today’s lending market and the best way to position your lending program now and for future growth.
- We begin with a Case study of a $125M credit union on the brink of NCUA take over. Under instructions to grow loans without utilizing an indirect program, with little to no marketing budget, no hiring budget and a capital ratio under 6%, we will work in small groups of similar asset size for a “what would you do?” analysis to devise strategies. Entire class will participate in debriefing discussion and hear actual results. Chronological points of discipline will be presented
- Lending Trends and Coming Competition. Let’s discuss trends and the role of Fintechs in lending’s hypercompetitive marketplace. Pierre will share strategic moves to compete and maintain relevance for the next generation of members.
- Scalability is key to your lending future. We will focus on selecting the right technology and the right amount of remote access without giving up your CU’s value proposition. As part of this discussion, Pierre will briefly touch on strategies to maintain branches as a compliment to digital services despite decreasing foot traffic
