LCUL’s 9th Annual Young Professionals Workshop will take place on Tuesday, March 16, from 9 am – noon VIRTUALLY for the first time!
Young professionals in the workforce today need to be prepared to lead not just their peers, but cross-generational teams of Gen Zers to Baby Boomers. The reality is college doesn’t teach the soft skills necessary to do it, but Raven Solomon does.
Our interactive workshop program includes:
- Group icebreaker activity
- Leading Your Parents Keynote by Raven Solomon
- Peer roundtable breakout sessions with prizes!
Our host Raven Solomon is an entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and former executive manager who has dedicated her life to building and leading diverse teams. She frequently addresses Millennial and Gen Z professionals and arms them with the leadership skills they need to hit the ground running.
Email management, team building, personal branding, establishing accountability—Raven will cover many aspects of the professional responsibility set in this workshop. She combines motivational advice with practical guidelines and draws on industry statistics, published research, and case studies to illustrate her rules for effective multigenerational leadership.
This is a great opportunity for young professionals to get involved in the credit union movement, connect them with other credit union professionals, and encourage collaboration that will create long-term success for the credit union industry.
Join us on Zoom for an investment of only $25/person!
Each year the YPN participates in a community service project during our Workshop. This year we want to spread a little love by collecting jars of peanut butter for those in need in our communities. Just like love, a little peanut butter goes a long way!/p>
Each chapter (or team of chapters below) is tasked with collecting peanut butter. The one that collects the most, wins!
- Monroe and Shreveport
- Lake Charles
- Baton Rouge
- Tri-Parish and New Orleans
Have your peanut butter handy to share on video at workshop, and work with your YPN Chapter Representative after the workshop to get the peanut butter to the charity in your area.
Do you or your credit union know of a YPN Member that went above and beyond while facing adversity in 2020? Click here to nominate them for 2020 YPN Member of the Year by Friday, February 26, 2021.
