Young Professionals Network (YPN)
Today's young credit union professionals are the future of the credit union movement. The Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL) has developed a Young Professionals Network (YPN) to provide networking, development, and growth opportunities for Louisiana’s young credit union professionals.
What is the Young Professionals Network?
LCUL recognizes that the future of our industry lies in the strength of our young credit union professionals. The Young Professionals Network (YPN) is an initiative of the League that works in cooperation with the YPN Steering Committee to meet the needs of young credit union professionals in Louisiana.
Who can participate?
Membership in the network is open to any Louisiana CU professional aged 40 and under, working in a league-affiliated credit union. Provided as a dues-supported service to member credit unions, there is no cost to join the network!
How can I get involved?
Join the YPN and participate in networking sessions, professional development opportunities, and more. Submit your membership application today to become a member!
Who represents my chapter on the steering committee?
Every member of the YPN plays an important leadership role simply by being a member of the network - you are the face of young credit union professionals in Louisiana and we are counting on you to make sure this network meets your needs and provides you with the resources and tools you need to be a more effective credit union professional. The YPN Steering Committee is charged with guiding the network in its strategic direction, so feel free to contact your chapter's committee member with any feedback or suggestions you have!
Louisiana Credit Union Young Professional Network (YPN) members in chapters across Louisiana joined forces to make a large impact on our state’s youth this International Credit Union (ICU) Day!
ICU Day is a day to reflect upon the credit union movement's history, promote its achievements and share member experiences. The ultimate mission of this day is to raise awareness about the great work that credit unions are doing around the world and give members and the community the opportunity to get more engaged.
YPN members used the week of ICU Day to get engaged with and educate our state’s youth on spending, saving and sharing money. They read and distributed copies of The Berenstain Bears’ Trouble with Money to students across Louisiana in schools and at libraries! The books were purchased with funds raised by YPN, and they had ICU Day stickers inside to spread the word about the credit union movement even farther when they took the book home to show their parents.
Thank you to all YPN members who participated, and thank you to all of the credit unions who donated their team members’ time to join in the festivities!
