Disaster Preparedness

The Louisiana Credit Union League has put together important information that you may find useful in the event of a natural disaster. It is important to remember that credit unions face a wide variety of natural disasters such as floods, fires, and tornados that could disrupt operations and have potentially devastating consequences.

LCUL has worked with the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions (LOFI) to set up a telephone response system to be used in the event of an emergency. Through this system, LOFI will record information and alerts related to immediate threats and/or disasters in your area. Credit unions will be able to dial in to the toll free number, (866) 281-6782, Ref # 156163, at any time and hear the most current alert. Please note that if there are no alerts currently recorded, you will receive a message stating that the reference code is invalid. This system will be activated as needed in emergency situations.
